Required Qualifications


Candidate must possess high school diploma/GED with technical diploma or Associate Degree preferred.  Prior teaching experience preferred.
Have minimum of five years current exemplary work experience in HVAC/R.
Must possess a high degree of knowledge and industrial expertise in all phases of industrial, residential, and commercial HVAC/R systems to include installation and service.
Must possess EPA 608 Universal, NC3 504 Meter and/or other certifications as required for the field or the ability to become certified/accredited within twelve (12) calendar months.
Strong hands-on technical background.

Evidence of ability to plan, organize and manage diversified tasks; and be willing to learn and use individualized instructional techniques; as well as, possess good computer, oral and written communication skills; must have the ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationship with students, faculty, staff and public.

Preferred Qualifications

Post-secondary diploma or A.A.S. in HVAC/R preferred.

Teaching experience preferred.



This position is responsible for the coordination, supervision and evaluation of all phases of the College’s HVAC-R program.  Physically able to lift, stoop, stand, and walk to demonstrate and perform all work based projects required.  The HVAC/R Instructor is responsible for providing individualized classroom and lab instruction to students to prepare them to become HVAC/R technicians. The Instructor must also maintain good public relations with business and industry, maintain an active advisory committee and cooperate with outside agencies.
