Required Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum of three (3) year’s successful employment as a machinist.

Proficient in the use of conventional machines such as vertical and horizontal milling machines, and computer numerical controlled (CNC) machines such as Wire EDM; Die Sinker EDM; and Haas Machining Centers.

Proficient in math and blueprint reading.

Evidence of ability to plan, organize and manage diversified tasks.

Must possess good oral and written communication skills; must have good organizational and planning skills.

Be willing to learn and use individualized instructional techniques.  Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationship with students, faculty, staff and public.

Preferred Qualifications

Technical Diploma; Associates Degree; and teaching experience preferred.

NIMS certification preferred or a desire to achieve NIMS certification is required.

Responsibilities

All phases of instruction for the evening Machine Tool Technology program offering in coordination with Machine Tool Technology instructors.

Skills
