The mission of the Culinary Arts program is to provide the opportunity to build knowledge, skills, and attitudes that are essential for successful entry-level employment in the food service field through technical instruction and training.
This program is designed to meet the educational needs of individuals desiring to work as chefs and head cooks. Students are involved in food services, sanitation, food and safety, nutrition and menu planning, as well as administrative/personnel management. The program prepares graduates for articulation into a post-secondary curriculum. Expected employment options include full-service restaurants, limited-service eating places, and traveler accommodation.
